Brøndby Stadion

The ground began as a municipal running track with no stands at all. The athletics club shared the site until the track was lifted in 1992, and the capacity roughly doubled to around 21,000 in the space of the conversion.

What followed was a decade of building on top of that decision. The West Stand had gone up at the end of the 1970s, concrete terracing came in 1982, and the rebuild of 1999–2000, drawn up by KSH Arkitekt & Ingeniør, took the ground to 31,500. It has come down since, to 28,000, of which 23,400 are seats; for UEFA matches, where everyone must be seated, the figure falls to about 26,000.

The record crowd belongs to the tail end of that larger configuration — 31,508 for the Superliga meeting with FC København in June 2003, a number the ground can no longer accommodate.

The stadium has never carried a sponsor's name. Only the South Stand was sold, trading as Faxe Tribunen from 1992 to 2010. Denmark first played here against Portugal in 2006, and the pitch has been GrassMaster hybrid since the 2016/17 season.
