The ground does not have an athletics track. The stands sit close to the pitch. It is Upper Austria's first pure football arena. The stands are covered.

SV Ried built this place in seven months. That was a record time. The stadium opened on October 19, 2003, with a match against Austria Lustenau. The club won 1–0. The cost was between 11 and 12 million Euros, a figure that included the undersoil heating system installed in the summer of 2013.

The energy consumption dropped from 320 kW to 155 kW in that transition.

It started as the HomeLife-Arena, then became the Fill Metallbau Stadion, followed by the Keine Sorgen Arena, the Josko Arena, and the Innviertel Arena. It is now the BWT Oberösterreichische Arena. The pitch is natural grass, kept in condition by the heating system beneath it. The capacity is 7,300.
