Cae Baker

Кей Бейкер stands in Пенрин-кох, a village in the Trefeurig community of Середигион, though the postcode sends you to Аберистуит and most directions do the same.

The club came first. Пенрин-кох was founded in 1965 and spent its early years moving between pitches around the village, without a fixed home. That ended in 1975, when the club took a lease on the land at Кей Бейкер from Ceredigion County Council and moved its fixtures there. The buildings followed slowly rather than all at once: changing rooms went up in 1980, the clubhouse opened the year after. The name has not changed since the club began playing there.

Of the thousand or so places, 250 are seated and the rest standing. The pitch is grass, and the local press — the Oswestry & Border Chronicle among them — has called it a heavy one, which the wet Ceredigion climate does little to argue with. No hybrid or artificial surface has been laid.

The crowds are village crowds. A hundred came for the visit of Коннахс Куэй Номадс, eighty for Эйрбас, sixty-five for Уэлшпул.
