Camp Nou
Barcelona, Spain
Formerly: Estadi del FC Barcelona
The scale of the venue is defined by its history with competition rather than just its size. It survived the transition from standing terraces to seated stands, which reshaped the interior without losing its character. The pitch itself carries the weight of that evolution, now a hybrid surface that blends natural grass with synthetic fibres. This technical choice ensures consistency, but the visual rhythm remains rooted in the older, more organic feel of the game.
The current renovation project is a significant shift in the stadium's physical form, aiming to add a full roof and modernise the interiors. Yet, the core experience remains tied to the original layout. The ground is in a state of flux, but its purpose is clear.
