Centenary Stadium

Centenary Stadium takes its name from the anniversary it was built to mark, the hundredth year of the Malta Football Association. The foundation stone went down in October 1998 under President Ugo Mifsud Bonnici, and the ground itself opened the following August, with the first match a few weeks later. It sits inside the Ta' Qali complex in Attard.

The pitch itself has changed character since those early years. Natural grass gave way to FIFA 2-Star artificial turf in 2007. A further resurfacing to a newer FIFA-standard turf was mooted in 2017.

Capacity is where the ground gets harder to pin down: older references and the Association's own archived material put it at 3,000, while the current official listing gives 1,700, a figure that appears to count seated places on the main stand rather than the ground's full capacity. The Association said in January 2026 that it plans to add stands behind each goal, which would push the number upward.

Mqabba F.C. lists the stadium among the grounds it uses, though the club's recognised home venue is generally given as the nearby Ta' Qali Stadium.
