The CGD Stadium Aurélio Pereira sits quietly within the Sporting CP training complex in Alcochete. It is not a place for the general public to wander, being tucked inside the Academia Cristiano Ronaldo . The grounds are defined by their function: a working pitch for the first team’s reserve side and the women’s team.

The surface is hybrid turf, a recent change to withstand the high frequency of matches played by Sporting CP B and youth teams. It mirrors the technology found at the main Estádio José Alvalade, but here the focus is on development. The stadium is named after Aurélio Pereira, a long-time youth scout for the club.

On the field, the atmosphere is different from the main stadium. The Portuguese Women’s Cup has also seen games here, including clashes against Real Madrid Femenino. The capacity is listed at 3,000.

The ground has seen serious trouble off the pitch. On May 15, 2018, players and staff at the complex were attacked by approximately 50 ultras supporters after Sporting failed to secure a Champions League spot. The incident led to life bans for the involved supporters. The stadium does not host major concerts or large-scale public finals, remaining focused on the football within its gates.
