Chair
The pitch at Chair sits in the Skopje district that gave it its name, and the ground has been there since 1927. It reads as a neighbourhood arena rather than a national one: one address, one entrance road, a capacity that tops out around 6,000 with roughly 5,000 of those under seats.
The version supporters see today dates from the 2004 rebuild, which is when the ground stopped being a pre-war relic and became a working modern venue. Natural grass, then and now.
Its tenancy has changed hands once in living memory. Sloga Jugomagnat was the main occupant until 2012; when Shkupi was formed that year, the club took the ground over and has been there since. The Albanian-language name, Stadiumi i Çairit, is used as readily as the Macedonian one — Chair is a heavily Albanian district, and the club that plays there draws from it.
The North Macedonia national side has trained at the ground, which says something about the surface if not about the stands: a venue too small to host competitive internationals, but good enough underfoot to prepare on. That dual use — a district club's home doubling as a training pitch for the national team — is the thing that separates Chair from the other mid-sized grounds in the city.
