CITYPARK
The playing surface sits 40 feet below street level. That excavation, in the Downtown West district beside Union Station, was the first work on site after construction began in February 2020.
The ground was paid for privately, by the ownership group led by the Taylor family and Jim Kavanaugh, with HOK and Snow Kreilich Architects responsible for the design. Louis City SC met Union Omaha in the U.S. Open Cup.
Drawn up as St. Louis City Stadium, it was Centene Stadium from February to October 2022, CityPark through 2023 and 2024, and has been Energizer Park since 2025.
Alongside St. Louis City SC and the MLS Next Pro side St. Louis City 2 , it has taken CONCACAF Gold Cup fixtures in 2023 and 2025, the 2024 Big Ten women's tournament, and friendlies for both United States national teams. Eight football matches at the 2028 Summer Olympics are scheduled here.
