The pitch here has been laid twice for reasons that had nothing to do with wear. The surface came up a second time ahead of the 2023 Women's World Cup, and hosted five games in the tournament.
Between those two rebuilds, the ground did the quieter work of an Adelaide United home. The AFC Champions League final arrived here in 2008, and the FFA Cup final followed in 2014.
Adelaide Venue Management runs the place day to day, with United — men's and women's sides both — locked in as tenants on a lease renewed in October 2023.
