CT Evaristo de Macedo

CT Evaristo de Macedo carries the name of Evaristo de Macedo Filho, the forward who once scored five goals in a single match for Brazil, top-scored for Barcelona among Brazilians, and later managed Bahia to the national title in 1988 across nine separate spells in charge.

Getting the land took longer than building on it did. Bahia recovered the site from the construction firm OAS through the courts and spent roughly four years turning it into a training base before first-team sessions began there in January 2020. More than 7,000 members and supporters turned out for the opening ceremony.

Twelve pitches make up the grounds straddling Dias d'Ávila and Camaçari, split between grass, relaid in 2018 and 2019, and artificial turf. One of the synthetic pitches carries FIFA Quality Pro certification, the top grade for artificial surfaces, and hosts the women's side, the youth categories and the professional squad in turn. A hotel and administrative building sit alongside the pitches, though the number attached to the site — 1,000 — belongs only to the mini-stadium built for official youth and women's matches, not to the training centre as a whole.
