CT Ribamar Bezerra
There is no matchday here, no ninety minutes, no crowd finding its voice before kick-off. CT Ribamar Bezerra is Fortaleza Esporte Clube's training base in Alto Alegre, on the edge of Maracanaú, and its work happens on weekday mornings, not Saturday nights.
The name honours Ribamar Bezerra, a former president of the Instituto Fortaleza Esporte e Cultura, who pushed the project into being. The land came from the municipality, and building work opened in August 2007, with the first stretch of the complex — administrative offices, a medical and physiotherapy centre, a gymnasium, player accommodation and a dining hall — inaugurated in June 2010.
