Czesław Krygier Municipal Stadium
Świdnik, Poland
Formerly: Stadion Miejski w Świdniku
Czesław Krygier Municipal Stadium Located at Ul. Sportowa 2 in Świdnik, the venue is the home of Avia Świdnik, the club that has called this patch of earth home since 1952. The current structure replaced an older earthen facility.
The transformation was driven by funding from the European Union between 2012 and 2014. The result, designed by Ptaszyński-Rubin Architekci, was a concrete stand that was inaugurated on July 26, 2014, against Widzew Łódź. That match ended 0–3, but the significance lay in the capacity: reduced from the original 5,000 to a tighter 2,800 seats. The official attendance record for this version of the ground remains 2,500, set on that opening day in 2014.
For over a decade, the stadium carried the simpler name Stadion Miejski w Świdniku. This renaming did not alter the physical structure but added a layer of meaning to the concrete and grass.
