Djursholms IP 2

The clue is in the name. Djursholms IP 2 is the second pitch of the Djursholms IP complex in Djursholm. The older field, Djursholms IP itself, holds roughly the same number of people and keeps its natural grass; the second pitch was laid with artificial grass and floodlights, which is what decides who gets sent where. FC Djursholm sends its U19 side and its lower-division senior matches onto the artificial surface.

FC Djursholm is itself a merger — Djursholms IF, Ekebykamraterna and other local clubs folded together in 1978.

The second tenant arrived by a different route. FC Sampierdarenese, founded in Stockholm in 2012, moved its home fixtures here in 2014 and has played its Division 6 and 7 football on the pitch since. A club with no ground of its own found one in Danderyd.

The complex is run by Danderyd Municipality, which lists it among its sports facilities alongside the other municipal grounds; there is no separate site for the pitch, and bookings go through a caretaker's telephone number.
