Dvorets Sporta "Trud"

The building on ul. Lenina does not look like a ground for football. It is an enclosed arena with a curved roof, and the glass front is the most prominent feature.

The complex has a long history in the Kirovsky District of Irkutsk. The original outdoor venue was renamed several times through the decades, but the name Trud stuck when the new building opened in 1976. The indoor arena inherited that name.

The seating is arranged around the rink. In the evenings, the place changes character.

The main tenant is the local basketball club, BC Irkut. The arena has also hosted national boxing championships and other sporting events that require a large indoor space. It is a multi-purpose building that serves the community for both sport and entertainment.
