EBB Stadium
Aldershot, United Kingdom
Formerly: The EBB Stadium at The Recreation Ground, The Electrical Services Stadium
The EBB Stadium sits at the end of High Street, Aldershot. The name has stuck with supporters for nearly a century. It is a place where the city and the club have shared the land since 1927, when the first stand went up on the south side.
Inside, the ground is a collection of different eras.
The stadium has seen better days in the league, but it remains the heart of the town. It hosted the original Aldershot F.C. before folding in 1992, and when the new club formed, they took over the same ground. The modern record for the current club is 7,500, set during an FA Cup match against Brighton & Hove Albion in 2001. The all-time record, however, belongs to a replay in 1970 against Carlisle United, when nearly 20,000 people squeezed into the terraces.
