Edible Field

Formerly: Nutrabolt Stadium, Travis Field, Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark, Cellucor Field, Bomber Field

Every stadium in Bryan has been rebuilt more than once, but Edible Field has changed its name almost as often as its sport. It opened in April 1947 as Bomber Field, and the first game on record was the Bryan Bombers beating the Lufkin Foresters 3-1 in front of roughly 2,000 people. Twelve years later, still going by Travis Field, it hosted an NCAA District 6 play-off between Texas A&M and Arizona, and the crowd that turned up was near 6,000. Texas A&M lost both games 1-0. When Kyle Field next door was torn down for expansion in the early 1970s, the university's baseball team borrowed this field as a home ground for three seasons.

The site kept its baseball identity through a string of sponsor names — Brazos Valley Bank Ballpark, Cellucor Field, Nutrabolt Stadium — while the Brazos Valley Bombers played eighteen summers here and won the Texas Collegiate League title at least half a dozen times. A 2007 rebuild added a party deck and a Founder's Club section for the collegiate-league crowd, and in 2016 a sellout crowd for a Strike Out Cancer game watched the Bombers' 21-game winning streak come to an end. Ballpark Digest named it the best summer-collegiate ground in the country in 2019.

Football arrived properly in 2017, when a $1.86 million refit laid artificial turf over the diamond infield and brought in the Brazos Valley Cavalry FC for USL's development league. The city took the operation back in-house from January 2026, ending a contract that had run since 2006.
