Effortville Community Centre
May Pen, Jamaica
The Effortville Community Centre is not a purpose-built arena. It is a dual-purpose venue in the Effortville area of May Pen, Jamaica, functioning as both a community centre and the home ground for Humble Lions FC. The club, founded in 1974, competes in the Jamaica Premier League.
The pitch is natural grass under floodlights. There are no undersoil heating systems or branded turf installations; it is a working surface.
The venue has hosted non-sporting events, such as a Peace Day family fun day organized by the Violence Prevention Alliance on September 21, 2023. It is also associated with agricultural shows like the Denbigh Agricultural Show. The ground has seen physical wear; fencing was lost and replaced after flooding in May Pen, reported by WIC News in 2017.
No official website exists for the venue, nor is there a specific street address beyond the general location. The year it was built is not documented. It is known by the alternative name 'Effortville Mini Stadium' in some football databases, but locally it remains the Community Centre.
