Egersund Idrettsparken

Egersund, Norway

Formerly: B&G Parken

It stands on Kjeld Bugges gate, and the ground has been there since 1924. The club, Egersunds IK, were founded a few years before the first kick was taken on the pitch. For most of its existence the surface was natural grass, until the promotion in 2023 changed the requirements. It was a necessary adjustment; the club had to meet the facility standards for the OBOS-ligaen, and the solution was to replace the top half-meter of soil with 40 cm of coarse gravel and a 10 cm layer of stone, topped with artificial turf. The renovation included a shock-absorbing pad, a new irrigation system, and new floodlights, financed partly by a donation of 3 million NOK from Sparebanken Vest.

The capacity is listed at 1,924 spectators. The stadium's reopening in 1947 against Viking produced a crowd of 2,200, which exceeded the permanent seating. In league matches the record is lower, 1,565 in 2017 against Bryne.
