Estadi Municipal de Badalona
Badalona, Spain
The Estadi Municipal de Badalona opened in 2017, a total rebuild that replaced the old Camp del Centenari. The pitch is covered in fourth-generation artificial turf, a standard feature for the women’s teams that call it home, though the surface means the main club, CF Badalona, has to travel for their domestic fixtures in Liga F when the rules demand natural grass. The ground has seen action from the Barcelona Dragons of the European League of Football since 2024, fitting the multi-purpose brief.
The view from the stands is dominated by the blue plastic seats and the green of the pitch, but the real character comes from the surroundings.
It has hosted the Copa Catalunya Final and the Spanish American Football Bowl Final, but the scale of the venue—around 4,170 seats—keeps it firmly local. The capacity is not huge, but the proximity to the hillside makes the space feel enclosed despite the open ends. The architect Joan Carles Navarro designed it with expansion in mind, yet the current layout feels complete for a municipal facility.
There is no sponsorship name to distinguish it; it is simply the Estadi Municipal de Badalona, a proper Catalan title for a proper Catalan ground.
