Estadio Antonio Solana

The scale this ground once held sits oddly against its present size. During the 1982 World Cup, playing as the Estadio del Alicante CF, it staged the third-place play-off between Poland and France in front of 32,500 spectators — well over ten times the 2,500 it now holds for CF Intercity.

The stadium opened on 12 April 1979, part of the Ciudad Deportiva de Villafranqueza complex, built under club president Jaime Bagur on land donated by the Baños family and owned since by Alicante city council. It carried the Alicante CF name for more than three decades. Structural defects forced its closure in 2015; the rebuilt ground reopened under its current name, honouring Antonio Solana, another former club president.

That reconstruction reshaped the place as much as it renamed it. The old west stand came down, replaced by a new 500-seat stand; the east side still runs six rows of black plastic seating, while the south end serves as standing space.

Attendance since has stayed modest for league football, but not always: the ground's best-recorded crowd under its current name came on 22 January 2019, when Spain's women's national team drew 9,182 for a friendly against the United States, a figure CF Intercity's own fixtures rarely approach.
