Stadium
Estadio Anxo Carro
Formerly: Campo Los Miñones, old Anxo Carro
Lugo built this stadium to replace Campo Los Miñones, which local supporters had already taken to calling the old Anxo Carro by the 1960s. Ángel Carro had overseen construction of that earlier ground while presiding over the Círculo de las Artes de Lugo.
The ground has been resized more than once since it opened. What started as an 8,000-capacity venue was stripped down to seating only in 2001, cutting numbers to under 5,000, before a new stand at the south end in 2013 pushed capacity back up past 8,000.
The natural grass pitch sits off Avenida Dos Deportes, on the edge of a city better known for its Roman walls than its football.
