The address is Rua Carlos Motta da Silva. The club AA Carapebus, which plays in the Campeonato Carioca Série B1, moved here after leaving Estádio Antônio Carneiro da Silva, a different venue in the same town. The pitch is natural grass, and the capacity is generally cited as 2,000, though some sources list 1,000; there is no official municipal figure to settle the difference.

The stadium was renovated by the Carapebus city hall and reopened on October 31, 2015, hosting a presentation match for a Flamengo masters team. No information has been found about the original construction date or the architect. The venue does not appear to have had any former names other than the addition of the prefix "Municipal." The club AA Carapebus won the Taça Maracanã in 2020, but that victory came at other grounds; no major finals or nationally significant events were recorded at this stadium.
