Estadio Ciudad de San Vicente
There is nothing here to build up to, because Estadio Ciudad de San Vicente has almost no past. It stands inside the Complejo Polideportivo Padre Mugica in Alejandro Korn, part of the San Vicente municipality on the southern edge of Greater Buenos Aires, and it opened in 2026 with a debut match for its main tenant, Estrella del Sur.
Estrella del Sur, founded in 2006, had never had a ground of its own to put its name to before this one. The municipality built the stadium as public infrastructure, which is why the club's own presence online runs through a Facebook page rather than a dedicated site — there was no need to build more than the pitch itself.
That pitch is artificial turf, laid to hold up under a schedule that a lower-division ground in this part of Buenos Aires province cannot always guarantee on grass. The bowl holds 8,000, a capacity that puts it well above what a club of Estrella del Sur's stature would need for its own league fixtures, suggesting the ground was built with an eye on hosting beyond its main tenant.
What the stadium does not have yet is a history to draw on — no former name to explain, no past identity it replaced, because there was nothing standing on the site before it. For now, its story is simply that it exists: a purpose-built home in Alejandro Korn for a club that spent two decades without one.
