Estadio Club Tucumán Central

The ground sits in Villa Alem, one of the biggest and most densely populated districts on the south side of San Miguel de Tucumán, and it has stood on that corner of La Plata and La Rioja since the club bought the plot in 1940. Before that, from 1928, the team played across town, opposite a fire station on 25 de Mayo.

The name has stayed put through decades in which the club itself did not. It has been Ferrocarril Central Córdoba, then Central Córdoba Railway, then Tucumán Central, with spells as Comandante Araujo and Bomberos Fútbol Club along the way. Through every rebrand, the ground kept the same address and the same identity.

It holds 4,500, a number that has not moved in the written record — no expansion, no reduction. The pitch is natural grass, and the club's own accounts of matchday preparation are mostly about mowing, watering and patching turf rather than anything more elaborate.

In 2026 the ground closed for roughly three months of renovation work, during which the team played its home fixtures away from Villa Alem, at Central Norte's stadium in Salta. It reopened in August 2026, though what exactly changed inside — drainage, seating, the surface itself — was not spelled out. What is on record is a finals-day atmosphere: for the decisive match against Talleres de Perico, the ground was reported full, even without a number attached to it.
