Estadio da Ressacada
Florianópolis, Brazil
The ground sits in the Carianos neighborhood of Florianópolis.
The Estádio da Ressacada, known officially as the Estádio Aderbal Ramos da Silva, opened on November 15, 1983. Avaí FC bought the land and paid for the work themselves. They replaced their old ground, the Estádio Adolfo Konder, with a larger venue. The architect Davi Ferreira Lima drew the plans, and Engineer Cairo Bueno de Oliveira supervised the building. The capacity started at over 20,000 but was cut back in 2002. Further changes finished in 2010 added seats everywhere and built extra grandstand areas, bringing the total to 17,800.
The surface is natural grass, tended by Maristela Kuhn. There is no under-soil heating. The official attendance record was set on July 17, 1988, when 25,735 fans watched Avaí beat Blumenau 2–1 in the Campeonato Catarinense final. The Brazilian national team has played here in 1987, 1994 and 1996. The Olympic side has also used the ground.
Paul McCartney held two concerts here: the On the Run Tour in April 2012 and the Got Back Tour in October 2024. The club has talked about selling naming rights, but no deal has been signed yet. The address is Avenida Deputado Diomício Freitas, 1000. The club runs a website at avai.com.br. The name Ressacada comes from the district, not from any sponsor. The stadium has not been rebranded commercially.
