Estadio de Sao Miguel

The stadium belongs not to the club but to the Regional Government of the Azores, an arrangement that has kept it in public hands through two rounds of work: a refit in 2009, then a further remodelling of the seating in 2014, after which it carried UEFA Category 3 certification.

It opened under a different name. For its first years it was the Estádio do Mar, and the change to Estádio de São Miguel tied it to the island rather than the water — the only renaming it has had, with no sponsor's name ever attached.

The largest crowd it has held came on 19 August 1998, when Portugal played Mozambique here in a friendly and won 2–1 in front of 15,000. That remains the record, and nothing in the years since has approached it. For a stadium that has hosted no finals and no concerts of note, a single senior international remains the outlier in its history.

The pitch is natural grass, laid to the full 105 by 68 metres.
