Estádio do Marítimo
Фуншал climbs from the harbour in terraces, and the flat ground where Эштадиу ду Maritimu sits, off Rua do Dr. Pita, has been reserved for the game since 1927, when Campo dos Barreiros opened there.
The stadium that replaced the field took six years to build, from 1951 to 1957, and opened on 5 May 1957 with a Мадейра selection beating a Portugal B side 5:2.
The second rebuild was the more drastic one. From 2009 the old bowl came down entirely — not a redevelopment around an existing structure, but demolition and reconstruction on the same site, a stop-start job that ran until 2016. What emerged took the club's own name, Эштадиу ду Maritimu, which matched the change in ownership: С.С. Maritimu has held the ground since 2009 and drove the works.
The playing surface is natural grass over 7,800 square metres. The address has been recorded two ways over the years, Rua do Dr. Pita and Rua dos Барейруш, which is a fair reflection of a ground that has been renamed almost as often as the streets around it have been redrawn.
