Estadio Gregorio "Tepa" Gómez
Tepatitlán's ground carries the town's own name in its nickname before anything else — everyone here still calls it the "Tepa" Gómez, after Gregorio Gómez, and the club plays under that same shorthand. It opened its gates in 1970, when Club Tepatitlán faced Guadalajara in the inaugural match and went down 0-3 in front of roughly 3,200 spectators — a modest crowd for a ground that would go on to outlast plenty of grander projects elsewhere in Jalisco.
For years the pitch ran on artificial turf, an odd fit for a club chasing promotion through Liga de Expansión MX, until the surface was torn up and replaced with natural grass, bringing the "Tepa" Gómez into line with the rest of Mexican professional football's playing standards.
The stadium sits inside Tepatitlán de Morelos itself, on Calle Morelos in the Centro district, close enough to the town's core that matchdays fold into the ordinary rhythm of the streets around it rather than sitting apart in some peripheral sports complex.
