Stadium
Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas
Formerly: Estadio Villa Olímpica de Pereira
Deportivo Pereira's ground carries the name of the architect who drew it, not a sponsor.
The ground carried on largely unchanged for decades until FIFA's under-20 World Cup, awarded to Colombia for 2011, forced the issue. Inspectors found the old bowl short of requirements, and between 2008 and 2011 the municipality, the Risaralda government and national funds split a 30-billion-peso rebuild between them, leaving the stadium at its current 30,297.
Deportivo Pereira has since used that renovation to write its biggest chapter here.
The stadium has hosted matches from that 2011 under-20 World Cup and Olympic qualifiers between Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Argentina in January 2020.
