Estadio La Ciudadela
La Ciudadela — the Citadel — was what people in Сан-Мигель-де-Тукуман called the ground from the day it opened, 24 March 1932, while the official title read Estadio San Martín de Tucumán. The club built it itself, under president Франсиско Санхуан; no architect's name survives in the record.
In April 1955 the ground was renamed Estadio Eva Perón, with the backing of Хуан Доминго Перон and the approval of Эва Перон. The foundation act for the planned extension carries the signature of the public works minister, Роберто Дупейрон. That name lasted five months. After the September coup, decree No. 4161 banned public mention of both Peróns, and the stadium reverted to Estadio San Martín de Tucumán. The club never restored the 1955 name, not even after democracy returned. No sponsor has bought the naming rights since.
It remains the home of Club Atlético San Martín de Tucumán . Visits from Бока Хуниорс — in 1989, and again in 2019 — and from Ривер Плейт are the fixtures the ground is measured by.
