The ground sits on Antonio Malaver, a residential corner of Florida Oeste where Vicente López runs up against Buenos Aires proper, and it has not moved since Colegiales settled there in 1948 — the same year the club took up permanent residence after decades wandering between grounds under the name that still gives the stadium its identity, Libertarios Unidos, borrowed from the club's own founding banner rather than any later sponsor.

What sets it apart from the dozen similar enclosures scattered through the northern suburbs is how little it has needed to change. The natural turf pitch has stayed put for the better part of eight decades while capacity crept up in small, deliberate steps rather than one redevelopment: a covered stand for 500 in the 1990s, the Libertarios Unidos terrace adding 1,200 seats in 2005, and floodlights only arriving as recently as April 2023, alongside a modest widening of the covered platea. 5,319 is the number that matters now, a figure that has settled rather than been chased upward.

Colegiales play in front of home support that rarely fills every corner, but the ground doubles as something unusual for a stadium this size: home turf for Argentina's national American football side, a tenant most grounds of comparable capacity never see. There is no former name to untangle here, no rebrand to explain — the stadium has simply carried the club's own history under one roof since the gates first opened.
