Estadio Los Chankas
Andahuaylas sits at 2,926 metres in the Apurímac highlands, and altitude is the first thing an away side notices at Los Chankas. The pitch is natural grass, laid out on Av. Perú, and the ground has carried the same working name since it opened, in 1989, the year Club Deportivo Los Chankas itself was founded, on 30 August.
For most of its history the stadium served a club that moved through Peru's lower divisions, the kind of ground known regionally rather than nationally. That changed in 2023, when Los Chankas reached the Liga 1 for the first time, and Andahuaylas gained a top-flight fixture list for a stadium built for provincial football, not it.
Capacity is set at 10,000, modest by Liga 1 standards but sized to a city where no rival ground competes for the same crowd.
