Estadio Manuel y Ramón Núñez
Gimnasia y Esgrima plays nowhere else, and the pitch at Santa Teresita and Perú has been theirs alone since it opened in November 1970. The club built it themselves, and named it for two of their own former officials, Manuel and Ramón Núñez.
Before the move, Gimnasia had spent decades on borrowed and rented ground around Concepción del Uruguay — a plot near La Salamana, land taken from doña Medrana Sagastume, a corner on Calle Mitre — none of it carrying a name of its own. The field they had before this one, opened back in 1930 at 9 de Julio and 5 del Oeste, was theirs too, but likewise went without a proper title. The 1970 stadium changed that: a home ground with a name attached, and one the club has never felt the need to change since.
Other sides pass through occasionally, for a cup tie or when their own ground fails to meet requirements, but the stadium has never belonged to anyone but Gimnasia. That continuity — one club, one pitch, one name — is what marks this out from the grounds around the province.
