Estadio Marcolino de Castro
Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal
The Estádio Marcolino de Castro sits in Santa Maria da Feira, and it has been the home of Clube Desportivo Feirense since the club moved in 1962. The ground was built in a hurry to meet the requirements of the Portuguese top flight, and it was completed in just 58 days. It opened on September 16 that year, named after Marcolino de Castro, the former club president who donated the land.
The stadium has not undergone major structural changes, and the capacity remains around 5,401 spectators.
One of the highest recorded crowds came on March 13, 2017, during a Primeira Liga match against S.L. Benfica. Feirense lost 0–1, and the attendance stood at 5,449. More recently, the venue hosted the final of the 2021–22 Taça da Liga Feminina, where SL Benfica faced SC Braga on March 23, 2022. The club has occasionally used the ground for lower-stage cup matches or women's football finals, taking advantage of the facilities and central location.
Estádio Marcolino de Castro is not a landmark stadium, but it has served its community consistently.
