In 1963 the capacity went up and floodlights were installed. In 1977 the pitch was re-sown and the stands reworked, and that work was done for a specific reason — Фамаликан had reached the Portuguese first division, and the ground had to meet its requirements.

Its most-quoted figure is also its least straightforward. On 11 August 2023 , against Брага , the recorded attendance was 19 184 . Фамаликан won that match 2:1.

The club's women, finalists in that same competition in 2021/22 and again in 2022/23, played those finals elsewhere.
