Estadio Municipal de Famalicao
Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal
Formerly: Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho, Campo dos Bargos
The ground sits on what was once Campo dos Bargos. Building began in 1948; the gates opened on 21 September 1952.
What has happened since is mostly subtraction. In the 1960s the terraces took something close to 20,000 people. The figure today is 5,186, and the gap is the story: seats replaced standing, safety rules trimmed the rest. The conversion to an all-seater came in 2015, done specifically so FC Famalicão could meet the requirements for a return to the top flight.
The record attendance belongs to that same period — 5,226 on 28 April 2019, against Vitória SC B. Months later the same ground was staging FC Porto and Sporting CP in Famalicão's first Primeira Liga season.
The pitch is natural grass and carries a five-star rating from Liga Portugal. As of 2025 private investors intend to build a new ground on the same site, at roughly 10,000 seats.
