Estadio Municipal de Ipurua
Eibar, Spain
The Estadio Municipal de Ipurua has a capacity of 8,164. The official attendance record — 7,732 — was set on June 12, 2024, during a LALIGA HYPERMOTION promotion playoff against Real Oviedo, a fixture Oviedo won 2–0.
SD Eibar has never moved. The women’s side joined in 2023, and both teams now play on the hybrid surface installed in September 2019, natural grass reinforced with approximately 5% artificial fibres.
The stadium’s most famous night came in 2014, when SD Eibar earned promotion to La Liga for the first time. The opening match in the top flight fell on August 24, 2014, and SD Eibar beat Real Sociedad 1–0. The track record has not been bettered since.
Renovations followed a regular rhythm: 1989, 1998–2001, 2015, 2016–2017, and 2019. The funding came from the local council and the Liga de Fútbol Profesional. The only break in routine was a safety barrier collapse in the away section on September 29, 2018, during a match against Sevilla FC. Eight people were taken to hospital with minor injuries and the game paused for six minutes.
The address is C/ Ipurua, 2. The ground has never carried a sponsored name; it remains the Estadio Municipal de Ipurua, or Ipurua Udal Estadioa in Basque.
