Estádio Municipal Hermínio Espósito

Football only occasionally has the last word at Hermínio Espósito. For much of its recent history the ground has served as home to Associação Desportiva Embu das Artes, a women's side that plays its state and national fixtures here, while men's football largely moved on after Clube Desportivo Embu turned out in the third tier of the São Paulo state championship back in 1986. The municipality keeps the calendar full with things that aren't matches at all: the city's own football championship settles its finals here, a jazz dance festival once drew more than 3,000 people through the gates, and in 2013 a SporTV reality show used the pitch for filming.

The ground has changed its name more often than its ownership. It was known as Estádio Municipal Joaquim Mathias de Moraes before being renamed Hermínio Espósito in 1981, the year of its formal inauguration, and it has stayed under city control ever since. A refurbishment costing 4 million reais was announced in 2018, and floodlighting and the gym facilities were redone the following year, though how much of the wider plan was carried through is not clear. In August 2025 the São Paulo state football federation suspended the venue over documentation problems, a reminder that in Embu das Artes the paperwork can matter as much as the pitch.
