Everyone at Nabizão still calls it that even though Red Bull Bragantino built the original ground, then called Estádio Parque das Pedras, in just 32 days at the request of club president Nabi Abi Chedid, and the name stuck to the man rather than the place he was standing on when they opened it in 1949.

The record for a paying crowd belongs to a draw with Novorizontino in August 1990, 15,000 through the turnstiles, though the wider figure people in Bragança Paulista repeat is 26,000, counted the day of that year's Campeonato Paulista final when the gates gave up trying to keep anyone out. The stadium's biggest occasion on the pitch came in 1991, hosting the Brazilian championship final against São Paulo, a goalless draw that still handed the title to the visitors. Nearly three decades later it had a smaller but locally sharper moment: the 2019 campaign that took Bragantino into Serie A for the first time in the club's history, with Nabizão as the stage for it.

It closed the way clubs like to close old grounds, with a win. Bragantino beat Cruzeiro 1-0 in the farewell match in April 2025. By September, demolition had started, clearing the site for the Arena Red Bull – Nabi Abi Chedid, a Light Steel Frame build going up in its place with fully covered stands and room for around 20,000, expected some time between 2029 and 2030. Until then, the club has put roughly 30 million reais into a temporary home while it waits for the new one.
