Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés

Two names sit on this ground. For most of its existence the arena carried Tiburcio Carías Andino's name, the Honduran president under whom it opened on 15 March 1948. The Congress dropped that name in March 2022, replacing it with a tribute to José de la Paz Herrera, the coach everyone in Honduran football knew as Chelato Uclés , who had died the previous April after complications from diabetes.

The pitch itself changed more recently than the name. In 2023, CONDEPOR replaced the surface with GrassMaster, a hybrid of natural Bermuda grass and synthetic fibres reinforcing the roots — the first installation of its kind in the country. The work, carried out by the Costa Rican firm Turf Managers Specialist, also brought new drainage and LED floodlights, and the ground reopened on 27 May 2023. A further phase, budgeted at 70 million lempiras and including a full roof and a commercial centre, is planned for completion in 2025.
