Estádio Nélio Gomes
It opened in November 2020, going straight up on Rua Léia Barcelos in the Hinterlândia district. There is no old stand to point to, no story of a fire or a demolition — just a natural grass pitch laid down for a club still building its own history from scratch.
At five thousand seats, Estádio Nélio Gomes belongs to the lower tier of Rio de Janeiro state football, the kind of ground that fills only when the occasion demands it. The 2024 Baixada Fluminense championship final drew a crowd of 2,455, well short of capacity, though a 2022 fixture had been billed in advance as a sell-out. Neither claim settles what the record attendance actually is — that figure has not surfaced anywhere reliable.
Belford Roxo itself has no larger rival ground competing for the same calendar of matches, so whatever happens at Nélio Gomes largely happens there and nowhere else in town.
