Estadio Parque Capurro

The ground sits in Капурро , on the corner of Avenida Juan María Gutiérrez and Avenida Capurro. That corner address is one of the few things about the place that has not moved since it opened.

What separates it from the other municipal grounds scattered around the capital is the length of a single relationship. Сентро Атлетико Феникс , founded in 1916, took the ground on concession when it was built and has played there ever since. The stadium belongs to the Муниципальная интендантура Монтевидео , so Феникс are tenants in the formal sense.

It has also never been anything else. No renaming, no sponsor's badge over the gate, no second identity to explain to visiting supporters: it opened as Parque Capurro and it is still Parque Capurro.

The pitch is natural grass. The finals and the international fixtures go to other addresses in Монтевидео .
