Estadio Ramón "Gato" Hernández

The Estadio Ramón "Gato" Hernández is part of the Complejo Polideportivo Buenos Aires, a wider sports complex in El Vigía. What distinguishes this place is not its modern architecture, but its tradition on a pitch that has seen more than thirty years of play. The grass is natural, and for a time there were plans to lay synthetic turf, yet the original surface remained.

The ground opened in 1987. The stadium was originally called Estadio 12 de Febrero, but it was renamed in the early 2000s to honour Ramón "Gato" Hernández, a local coach and club founder. They are not the only visitors; the venue hosted matches during the XVI Andean National Games in 2005, when the town gathered to watch local talent.

Visually, the stadium is defined by its limits. A renovation in 2008 and 2009 focused entirely on the field itself, improving drainage and replanting the grass, while the spectator stands were left in a state of disrepair.
