Estadio Roberto Martínez Ávila

Formerly: Estadio Municipal de Siguatepeque, Estadio Francisco Martínez

Siguatepeque's municipality built it in 1980, and the name it carried then — Estadio Municipal de Siguatepeque — still explains more about the place than the one on the sign now. Tenants have come and gone: Real de Minas, Santos de Siguatepeque, and today Atlético Independiente.

Of the 7,000 places, roughly 3,000 are seats.

Those finals are what the ground is now known for. Atlético Independiente met Platense in the second leg of the 2023 Liga de Ascenso semi-final, faced Arsenal de San Francisco in the second leg of the 2024 final, and in 2025 were drawn at home for the first leg of the Finalísima against CD Choloma — a match the rain postponed.

Promotion football is the staple, but the pitch has taken first-division visitors too: Olimpia and Marathon have both played on it. The surface was relaid in 2025 with Bermuda Ibiza grass, the work carried out alongside wider renovations.

The former name persists in local usage, and a variant, Estadio Francisco Martínez, still turns up in print.
