The halfway line here is also a municipal boundary. Everything north of it stands in Тампико, everything south in Сьюдад-Мадеро. The ground sits in the Унидад-Насьональ neighbourhood: one address puts it on Альберто Флорес in Тампико, another on Авенида Халиско in Сьюдад-Мадеро, where the main entrance is.
It has never carried anything else. No sponsor has bought the naming rights.
They began on 3 January 1965. Football was played on the pitch before the ceremony that opened it: the first match came on 3 April 1966, when AS Монако visited to face a combined Тампико-Мадеро side, and the formal opening followed on 30 April.
The surface is natural grass, as it was then.
