Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Formerly: Estadio Jorge Newbery
The stadium opened on September 7, 1947, on the site of a previous wooden arena, the Estadio Jorge Newbery, which had hosted matches since 1924. The new concrete venue was named after Tomás Adolfo Ducó, the club’s president, on September 23, 1967, following the construction of the current stand. The capacity has been trimmed over the decades; a major remodel in 1977 replaced terraces with seated boxes, settling the figure at 48,314. The pitch remains natural grass, a surface that has seen the first leg of the 2015 Copa Sudamericana Final, though the result there was a tight 0–0 draw with Independiente Santa Fe.
It has hosted concerts by Iron Maiden and Green Day, but the primary function remains the home of Huracán.
