Euregium / EmslandArena

The EmslandArena in Lingen (Ems) shares a history with its sister venue, the Euregium in Nordhorn. Built in 2013, the Lingen facility was constructed at a cost of 20.6 million euros. It sits on a concrete base topped with a PVC floor covering that can be adjusted for parquet play. The capacity is listed at 4,995, though for handball matches the number often drops to 4,300.

Across the border in Nordhorn, the Euregium has been standing since 1999. It is smaller, holding 4,100 spectators, and features a traditional wooden parquet floor. The two arenas together form the home ground for the German handball club HSG Nordhorn-Lingen. Players travel between the towns in Lower Saxony depending on the fixture.

There is little to distinguish the architecture of either venue beyond their dates of construction.
