Europa Sports Park

A low cloud often drapes the summit, so the ground sits beneath a changing sky that shifts with the weather. The complex replaced Victoria Stadium as the home for international fixtures after the older venue underwent reconstruction to meet UEFA standards. The playing surface is artificial turf , certified to FIFA Quality Pro standards, and in 2024 it was upgraded to meet World Rugby regulations as well.

Lincoln Red Imps and St Joseph's FC call the ground home, and the Gibraltar national football team moved there in 2024 after being forced to host matches in Portugal. The capacity is 2,100 spectators, a figure reached in September 2025 with the opening of a new southern stand. Prior to that expansion, the western stand held only 800 seats. The venue has hosted events beyond football, including the 2019 Island Games and a boxing match between Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte in March 2021. During the pandemic, part of the sports hall was repurposed as the Florence Nightingale Field Hospital.

The ground is small, but that intimacy allows supporters to sit close to the action. When the wind sweeps down from the Rock, it cuts straight through the stand, so players must adjust their passing. The pitch remains flat and consistent, which suits the short, rapid style of play favoured by both the Red Imps and the national team. That result kept the team up and sent the crowd into the streets.

There are no commercial names attached to the ground, and it is consistently referred to as Europa Sports Park in local publications. The site retains its original purpose despite the larger plans that were once proposed for an 8,000-seat stadium. The national rugby union team also uses the facility, sharing the turf with the football clubs.
