The eww Stadion sits on ground that has carried a football pitch under one name or another for years.
What sets it apart from a typical lower-tier Austrian ground is the range of what surrounds the main pitch: four training fields, split evenly between natural grass and artificial turf, plus a baseball diamond sharing the site. The stadium itself was built for both codes, football and baseball.
Of that capacity, 500 seats sit under cover, the rest open to the Wels weather. The build came in at roughly 7.4 million euros .
