EXTRA Arena
The ground sits out at Ranheim. That location explains a good deal about the place.
It is old enough to have been interrupted. The pitch was laid out before the Second World War, and the ground did not return to competitive use until 1946, after post-war rebuilding work. What stands there now dates mostly from a later round of construction: new stands, and an artificial surface with undersoil heating, finished in 2010 and formally opened on 26 September that year.
The name has changed several times, and the sequence tracks the sponsorship arrangements rather than anything on the field — Ranheim Stadion first, then DNB Nor Arena , then DNB Arena , and now EXTRA Arena .
Capacity is modest, around three thousand, with seating for two of those.
